P0455 — EVAP System Leak Detected (large leak),
Evap Code Continues To Set After About A Week

The service manuals (Identifix & Pro-Demand) say to put the system in test mode by locating the “Green Connector” We have searched high & low trying to locate this connector. We have already replaced the purge valve under the hood & the fuel cap.

The green test connector for a 2011 Forester is above the front passenger's feet, behind the carpet, just under the glove box.

Hi Gerry, It is in a crazy place as Leo described. There should be a green cap on the fitting unless it has been knocked off.

Some have a cap, some don't. Virtually impossible to ‘knock it off’, and most of them don't have a cap at all.

The elusive green connecter was as you said, under the carpet near the passenger glove box. The vehicle had a bad purge valve atop the tank area. Thanks for the help!
