You're going to get a million responses… But I use Auto traker, out of Huntington new york. best bang for the buck Does what i need and is VERY user friendly. Always fast help if needed and almost zero issues in 7 years demo discs are available
No printing. If you are going to switch over go paperless. We use Shop Ware. shop-ware.com
There are a lot of different options, however you have other things to consider when you buy shop software. If you go with Shopware, shop monkey tekmetric, alldata online, Napa Tracs, or anything web based you have to make sure your internet connection is reliable. I have sold multiple products and my most successful shops that use us for consulting, use Mitchell 1 Manager SE. It is the most…
I've been using Real Time Labor Guide for years. It's does everything I need for my small shop. $25/month and worth every penny.
We use this too. It’s a good entry level system but lacks some features. The pricing is great for what you get though. It’s nice to be able to view customer history on the go from my phone. -Some of the things that bother me Adding parts to an RO is a little clunky… if you’ve already added the part on a previous RO it will be in the database but it doesn’t show you this unless you search. If…
My bosses just got the Mitchell tablets. So I'll let you know later. We still haven't started using them yet.
I use auto traker. You don't need good internet, and you can own it. No monthly fee. Great support
I use bookipi it’s a free invoicing software. You can download the app.bookipi.com.I promise you will be impressed with what you get and it is absolutely free. Please try it and give us a feedback.
I currently use Mitchell and I operate 3 bay shop. Little bit expensive but worth it in my experience.
Shop-ware…. Great program, always being updated and allows for text, email and online payments.
I’m paperless with Novo Banking for Business. Novo gives me a debit card and I use Stripe for my transactions ($8.00 trans action fee per transaction=I build it into the customers cost). Novo‘a phone app makes book keeping a breeze. I print out my statements & dump it off to the accountant. Easy and worth the fee’s IMO.
I am a one-man shop and use MaxxTraxx. scottsystems.com Been real happy with the system.
I use Winworks. It's a more basic system than some listed here but you own it, not rent it. I rarely have any issues. I have been using it for 10 years. Get a demo of each system.
If you are planning on growing your business or expanding then I would suggest a system that allows for growth and making life easier for reporting and also for looking up past repairs for warranty purposes. I have an 8 bay shop and use Protractor. It has vin decoding integrated parts lookup unlimited history and great tech support. If you are a 1 man shop then it is probably not worth the cost…
Little learning curve to set up and a little thinking outside the box to get it how you like it but GNUCash is great (and free).
Real Time Labor Guide. we have been using it for 4-5 years. It is very basic but serves us well at the moment. I have a short list of features that I wish it had (see Ed Runco's post for a list) but you can work around most of it's limitations. My second choice is the Mitchell platform but for the money Real Time is a steal. It will do reports, tech tracking and it prints a nice invoice and…
I use winworks autoshop pro for over 20 years you either own it or do cloud based , the pro version is super with many of the popular features , includeing email invoices, many payment types , inventory options, including multiple pricing levels for different customer classes, marketing builtin, super easy to look up customer history, many productivity reports, check it out. good luck
I use identifix shop. Cheap when bundled with identifix..
Leo, If you have six Tech's your running a larger operation than most. Deciding on what software to use is confusing and time consuming, not a fun task. If your using Mitchell now you should look into their product line, However Shop Ware appears to be one of the best out there and is worth looking at.
