Maybe it is the KIA alternative to a Trunk Monkey.

Ah, people do live in glass houses? This design has always been lacking of reality, but people still buy them. A tiny twig broke this? I'm thinking a rock.

I guess it depends on the combined speed of the vehicle and the twig. Tornados impale trees with 2x4s regularly =D

Hi Benjamin, It just find it odd they used the word “twig” as a description. I have a picture somewhere around here of a pencil stuck through a section of 1x8 lumber. It happened when I was stationed at Langley Va. during hurricane Gloria back in 1985. That storm tore up the entire base.

I think the rear hatch was open, and a twig fell into the gab between the top glass and the hatch. The rear hatch door was closed, and the twig crushed into the glass.

Ahhh, yes, you're right, I hadn't thought of that. I recently saw a video of someone taking out their rear glass when the roll of masking tape slipped off the trunk lid. Ouch.
