SPS2 programming error
Why am I not able to program a new TCM as I have already done more than 100 times ??? 3 hour to try with SPS2. Each time * NOT APPLICABLE *?!?. I called GM's techline and they apparently know there is a problem, so they gave me access to the old SPS for 24 hours and ......... same problem. Now is there something or a way to do that I don't know?
Back when I first encountered sps2 after the switch I had read through quite a few threads and several of them said if it wasn't a gm oe module or used module that sps2 would brick the module might not be a bad idea to try a new module.
I have been running into this but also in the past if the TCM does not correspond to the vehicle it will not program correctly and everything on the TCM will be lost.. I'm assuming the TCM(valve body was different). I just did one this past Friday were they they changed the transmission to a newer model but they also got a PCM with the corresponding year of the transmission. Once I program the…
If you scan the vehicle do you still have communication with tcm? If you don't then tcm is bricked from first attempt and you need a new one. Is it a brand new oem tcm? Or a dorman? I have been very unsuccessful with dorman tcms
I have come to find the problem, the transmission shop did not install the correct part (wrong part number)
Good little follow-up !!! My client replaced the valvebody / tcm with a Dorman .. Because the parts to the dealer are backorder. Is there a chance that I have a hard time reprogramming it?
