Can-Bus Filter
hello all At first thank you very much for everyone Maybe this is a strange request but I hope to get an answer . I look for CAN-BUS FILTER I want to add it to instrument cluster range Rover 2014 To install it on a model 2008 range Rover . I need to change pinout connector Also Then add CAN-BUS FILTER .
🙂💐 thank you all
I am not sure if I am understanding. You want to put a '14 cluster into a '08? I have next to nothing for Land Rover experience, but Idont think this would be a easy undertaking without some sort of special harness ( filter?) and probably some programming / coding on a level more advanced than normal module firm ware / coding. I see the MOST network on the diagram you provided, I would guess the
Brian, I read it as trying to get a '14 instrument panel to work in an '08. It would be an extensive undertaking indeed and the wiring would be the easiest part. In my mind the theory behind accomplishing this is as follows: - Take an operational '08 and '14 and install a network protocol sniffer (wireshark, arduino or raspberry pi based sniffers, socketCAN, ELM327 and so on) - Monitor
After further thought I believe Labeed may also be referring to a CANbus filter with the idea that it can be left in place. In essence, a box that is designed to take the CANbus and other inputs on the '08 and filter them into useable data for the '14 instrument cluster. This would pull the analog/digital inputs from the '08 chassis and covert them into a useable CANbus signal that would be
I agree with you, it could be done. I would replace the aggravation part with the need for more money. Money easily covers aggravation. :-)
hello Eric I got this gateway flex diagprog4.com/new-cangateway… But I need a special tool . And to a professional person
hello Chris thank you for replying You have a lot of useful information Thank you very much for mentioning this information . For this upgrade needs time and equipment . I've been searching websites for weeks for information on this topic . But unfortunately I did not get anything . Just found a company that manufactures a CAN-BUS FILTER . But this company does not have a CAN-BUS FILTER
That specific chip is designed to be un-detectable by scan tools and to modify mileage in the instrument panel. The other CANbus filter chips allow one to filter out DTCs (such as the MOST network) from the system. They do not modify the '08 analog/digital inputs to work with the CANbus inputs needed on the '14 instrument panel. There is really only one way to do this properly. Those chips are
He is looking for a programming translator. I know it has been done, I've seen it myself. A customer of mine, a retired electronics engineer/programmer made one for a project vehicle he and a friend of his were working on. It allowed them to used a cluster and body module with a PCM, all from three different vehicles and two different manufactures. The two boxes he made, translated the input
Eric, I'm sorry to hear about your friend, definitely an intelligent guy though. That is amazing that he had the knowledge and determination to see it through to completion, no small task as you shared. I'm not debating that it can be done, I just don't want to endorse the specific chips or websites cited. Lots of circumvention and pirating of factory tools/software to build those chips and
I understand, I don't want to get in the middle of it either. I wouldn't even want to think about how much the cost would be for something like that to be made. Then it would have to be different for every setup, unless it was the exact same vehicle having the exact same cluster installed. Hmm, lets see, 300 hours of time, at least $100.00 per hour plus hardware for each vehicle. Yes sir, the
The old mantra, "time and materials".
hello Eric thank you Yes, I am looking for someone who can help me reach a useful conclusion about this . I need a lot of these pieces CAN-BUS FILTER . I want to upgrade the old Range Rover sport instrument cluster . I want to buy these pieces ready for installation range Rover . I know it's not easy But many like it upgrade instrument cluster .
hello Eric Thank you for your reply In fact I'm looking for someone who can help me manufacture Almost similar to that in the picture .
hello Brian Thank you for your reply the '08 does not have MOST network? But I do not need MOST '08 It is only to run the navigation system . The shape and number of connector dashboard are exactly the same . I am looking for someone to help me make this change . Also For Range Rover cars I got the retrofit adapter for LED matrix headlights .
