2019 Gmc Sierra Salvage Title
Can someone help? replaced steering lock module ,can't reprogam it, GM salvage tiltle won't release the update via tis 2 web its any other way to write the vin truck runs and cuts off keys are progammmed. its an action vehicle with title, please if someone has any information
Try this, via SPS2 go to theft deterrent system and reprogram BCM and ECM together. It helped me.
This sounds like it is a registered permanent salvage never intended to be put back on the road. Salvage parts only.
There is a difference between non repairable salvage title and just salvage title. Shop needs to confirm which title the truck has. If it is a non-repairable title that truck can't be put on the road again.
Hi Saul, so are you saying that SPS has eyes on all VIN’s and can track if it’s salvage non repairable VIN and will not allow any programming ?
not saying that is the case but with gm anything is possible, They are doing a great job already trying to block us from using second hand modules. There is always ways around certain things. Going to his case, could be anything from internet issues, java, etc he mentioned tech 2web, Maybe he should try techline and hope he can find what he needs.
If the software is missing on the server and gm won't add it due to salvage title you need to get the vehicle inspected and the title updated to “rebuilt salvage” then submit everything to gm get a emailed statement about the issue with the missing software and show that to the relevant person while getting it inspected
I had a couple of salvage titled vehicles I programmed kill the modules. This was back with SPS1. At that time I didn't know GM disabled salvage titles from being programmed and neither did the dealer. To be fair, I also didn't know the vehicles had salvaged titles until afterwards. I don't know that I can provide any direct help to the question, but my experience with SPS1 was that any module could be programmed if they had the programming in the system already, but don't ask ACDelco to do anything special! Like provide updates for LED lights so the turn signals don't blink fast…
