Allthough it's a VW it is still just a 3.6 and i'm looking for the connector (preferably the pigtail) for the camshaft actuator solenoid. Both VW and Chrysler can not get this as you need to buy the entire harness. Anyone know an outfit that might have this?

If the connector is not broken or cracked, VW will have the wire with the terminal in stock. Just bring them a sample. They sell a wire with a terminal on each side, now you have two wires.

Glad you found one. One option would be to put a pair of cutters in your pocket and visit local salvage yards?? :-)

Understood. At least it was an option. Some of the other resources the guys have listed should be remembered for future needs.

Great info Tim. Sad when dealer parts guy cannot (or just won't) find what our fellow techs can.

findpigtails.com I have learned about this company when doing work for body shops. They are not cheap but they will get or make just about any connector / pigtail.

Normally the P/N is stamped onto the plastic connector. You may need a magnifying glass to see it.
