Picoscope analyzis software
I’ve seen this interesting video on you tube
“ IN-CYLINDER PRESSURE WAVEFORM ANALYZING BY PICOSCOPE”
it’s interesting how additional software can brake down captured data and creat the report.
I wonder if anybody out there using it and how useful it is?
They are using the USB Autoscope pressure transducer with the Picoscope software, then they are transferring the .psdata file over to the file type that works with the USB Autoscope software in order to run an analysis script. It makes me wonder why not just use the USB Autoscope in the first place instead of doing all that extra work. Also, I'm not sure there is any software script that can…
Rotkee scope software has scripts built in for some testing. There are youtube videos for demonstration. I have not yet tried it because I am retired and in poor health but will be getting to it soon I hope. Also still getting up to my speed for pico 7. I want to know my $4500 scope better than my $220 scope just because.
I use it quite frequently and have found it to be very accurate. The script is not dormant but is continuously being refined.
The forum used for psdata conversion looks almost abandoned though? forum.autoscope.eu/viewforum.php…
Probably true. I assume very little need, since only for .psdata conversions. I use the script natively, so I have no need.
Olle, do you think if the psdata upload, conversion, running the Px script and producing the report were automated, that would attract a lot of users, or the necessity to follow exact instructions to capture the right waveform may provide too much headwind to become popular?
Perhaps. Although quality data collection of any kind does involve some work. I could see where a conversion application running on a client's machine would be more streamlined. I believe the present process is the way it is due to IP issues. When it comes to creating the conditions necessary for a data set to be suitable for analysis, it is what it is. If you look at the process, it is clear…
