Subarunet access for infotainment update files
Howdy.
This is a 2014 Forester, and our customer can't connect his phone to the Clarion CF605UL infotainment system. We tried as well with no sucess.
I found a service bulletin that requires replacement for units before serial number digits 405 (characters 4-6). If the unit is newer than serial 405, there is updated software available on Subarunet to correct the issue.
We have a current subaru.techinfo.com subscription, and a current Subaru Select Monitor 4 subscription. However, the link in the TSB routes to Subarunet, which is for dealers only as far as I can tell. If I attempt to log in, the site requests that I change my password. I do, and then it says my user ID can't be found.
So, here's the question: How is an aftermarket shop supposed to get this update file? Anyone know?
On that unit you need to manually delete old Bluetooth profiles then try to pair. Actually had same problem on my mothers 2014 forester. Unit will only take one profile.
I'll see if the customer would like to try that. I don't know if there are multiple users or not. Thanks.
Subaru.com click on “for owners” navigate through the website and find the audio software Downloader. Download that and then download the update. Put on flash drive and then install onto the car. Techinfo won't get you what you need from subarunet.
No luck on Subaru.com unfortunately. Manual, video demonstrations, technology explanations, etc., but there are no downloads that I can find other than various manuals. Are you talking about my.subaru.com I'd need to sign up as the owner, and since I'm not, I don't want to hijack my customer's account. Regardless, thanks for your help.
Take it to Subaru service and ask the advisor if they will update it for you. Idk the cost off hand but it takes 5 minute's
