P25B4 - Turbocharger/Supercharger Wastegate A Stuck Closed
Hello,
we have problem with Escape 2020 Turbocharger ,
We have replaced complete Turbocharger (old one had P2AB8 - Wastegate Position Sensor A Circuit Low ), we thought solenoid sensor is damaged
Unfortunately when we replaced turbocharger new DTCs appeared .
Attached txt file from Forscan log file which shows: -WGATE_A_OFFSET: Yes - Wastegate -A- Position Sensor Offset Is Invalid
My question is there is a way to calibrate , set offset ? It is around 1 mm of difference between real value and strategy.
Attached pids FDRS , Forscan log file and picture of waste gate solenoid (it is used in Edge … Escape … engines 2,0 EcoBoost)
Alldata says clear codes, reset kam ..reset emmision monitor info,,,,let idel 3 minutes then drive car and let it relearn
Codes were cleared several times, kam reset also, “reset emission monitor info” ??? In FDRS ?
If there is no mechanical adjustment that can be made, to change the relative position of the Wastegate, then the only thing possible, is to let it try and learn the new parameter.
Yes u are right , there is no mechanical adjustment (it is step motor) , unfortunately there is no service procedure for learn new parameter. Or there is a way but I don't see it ?, I am using FDRS (FJDS ,IDS ) and Forscan.
If there's no ‘reset’ in the IDS (I use one as well), then it may be just a case of a self-learn.
I will install 2nd turbocharger, maybe previous one wasn't good as well.
Problem not yet resolved. to add something , this type of turbocharger is also present in Ford Edge …
