FJDS 118.01 and 118.02
I keep getting a message to upgrade to 118.02. When i try it says it can only be installed over 118.01. Which i am currently at. Does 118.01 have problems or is it good to go. Also why won,t it install.I am still on windows 7 pro.
Try installing the 118.01a if you haven’t already, then update to 118.02
That is the problem. I have 118.01, but cannot install 118.02 because I need to have 118.01a first. But, how can I get it? Checking though the updater and from inside IDS does not get anything for 118.01a.
Yes, thanks. I forgot about that method. I wonder if the note about uninstalling is the solution to Bill's problem? motorcraftservice.com/diagnostic/Sup…
Rolling Back to 117 if you have the installer would be the best course of action. You will need to uninstall 118 before installing the older version.
Good morning, I received this email yesterday. i hope this may help National Automotive Service Task Force (NASTF) 4501 Harlan St., Wheat Ridge, CO 80033
Windows 7 is hit an miss as far as working. I have seen several machines that it worked before and now wont. I have also seen windows 7 machines that still work. You will need 118.01A as Daryll has already said but Windows 7 no longer is officially supported. If you still have trouble try a windows 10 machine.
118.02 has issues! I spoke to NASTF and motorcraft tech help on Fri. I was unable to perform PATS system function - Ford tech line told me to wait and try again with 118.03 they stated it would be released later on Fri afternoon but it never happened?? :(
What vehicle? I haven't experienced the Pats issues and am trying to keep track of what works and what doesn't.
2017 F-150. Software was going in circles... I would see the screen saying you need a internet connection and NASTF password then after clicking the tic marker you would just go back to the screen before.... Never could get to the log in screen to enter VSP credentials.
I am assuming you have, at one point, setup for internet explorer as default browser and set it up correct? I have done several Pats resets in the last few weeks, but I don't think I have done any Coded access pats since the 118 update.
Chris, thanks for the tip. I have previously gone through the steps to set up IE default. I believe there was a document I followed. Not sure what could have happened to the PC I don't do Ford programming often but used this PC about 3-4 weeks ago to do PATS system work without issue... Ford tech line seemed quick to throw 118.02 under the bus, pretty much no effort to help just said try the…
Windows 7 seems to be spotty anymore, right along with Fords system. They have been having all types of problem. But i would recommend going to motorcraftservice.com Under Diagnostic Tool Support, click on Software, then click on FJDS. There you will find the 118.01A. After that you will be able to update to 118.02. Hope this might help you. I just noticed that someone already posted this…
have you installed 118.000A full version ?
I also have 118.01A installed (Win7) and I am unable to install 118.02 as is says I need to install over 118.01A and as above thats exactly what I have installed already. I note with interest that when downloading and re-installing 118.01A that although it installs 118, the installer is actually labelled 116.06 I have no idea how to solve this, I am worried if I upgrade to Win 10 to try it, I…
