ACDELCO TDS Techline Connect Download
If you happened to try to use acdelco tds this morning 9/6 and were having problems, clear your web page cache, delete the version of TLC that you downloaded this morning, then open your browser as an admin either chrome or edge and re download through the acdelco site. You will then need to launch from Acdelco. Here is a video with what you need to do.
If you did not try to download today, all you will need to do is run your web browser as admin (either chrome or edge) and then follow the rest of the steps in the video.
Very nice!! Last time I did one it was Chrome to purchase subscription, then Internet Explorer as Admin to run the Java script. Good to know they are simplifying this as it was frustrating to get it going.
Thank you Tanner. Can you tell me if anything has changed as far as paying $40 per VIN to flash?
Nothing has changed. The only difference is that you have to launch techline connect through ACDELCO TDS. Purchase a $40 vin subscription and either click the vin number or add vin and it will give you an option to download or launch techline connect. Do not launch techline connect from your desktop and try to log in with your ACDELCO credentials, it will not work.
Thank you. I made it all the way through to replace/program, but am getting an error after checking VIN slot status. It says “There was an error checking the VIN slot status!” Any ideas? I have 6 VIN tokens available to use.
Nathan this is an issue that started this morning. Call acdelco techline and they may ask for a log. You can try a different browser as that has worked for some.
Thank you. I got a call back from GM, they said it's a known issue, to try IE, run as admin etc. I was placed on a call list for later when they found a solution.
I noticed that the TLC suite doesn't seem to “integrate” all of the user-subscribed services at this time. The NASTF demo video shows the “SI”, “GDS2”, and “SPS2” tabs all populated at the top left of the dashboard. You can access SPS2 and GDS2 on TLC individually from the TDS site, and SI currently doesn't take you to TLC at all. Hopefully it becomes fully integrated in the future.
Hi Tanner, I appreciate the video. Unfortunately I wasn't able to access my subscription to do programming as it showed I have no VIN slots available. As a PSC shop, which they now call mygmpartnerperks, I buy a yearly subscription, but GM hasn't gotten the bugs out, at least for me. diag.net/file/f3a9sncy7… I posted a screenshot as I have 2 Service Programming Packages and 2…
This was an issue that many had today. They are working through it and have been taking logs from everyone. I was fortunate and didn’t encounter this error today on the two vehicles I did but many others did.
Tanner, if you were nearby I’d give you a big kiss 😀 Looks like I’m good to go except the “recent vehicles” list isn’t populated With the last 24 months of vehicles that I’ve programmed. Hope they aren’t gone forever. Happy Trails
