If no other modules have faults then monitor the remote start and trans modules to see if they recognize the key start and selector lever position.

I am not familiar with that scanner. First check SI for a trouble tree. If none is found my process would be this on any vehicle; Find the module list. Select the module you need, for instance the TCM, and select data pids. Check for correct range selector data while moving the shifter. Then locate remote start (which may be in one of several modules or a stand alone) and repeat the process…

Was there something you were attempting to repair with the flash? Or, was it done for ‘maintenance’? Any latches not showing closed? The hood must be closed as well as all other doors. Doors must usually be locked. Make sure that you can see Park in all modules that need it, TCM/PCM?BCM, etc. If IIRC, these have a safety switch on the console to be a failsafe. may want to check there as well…

I did PCM and ABS software update only for "maintenance" I had problem with turbocharger wastegate DTC but it has not influence. Right now I am totally confused . I have did software update for all modules that were not up to date. Now engine is not even starting. I do not know what should I check. PCM, ABS, BCM ? Maybe system need some PATS adaptation after PCM upade? Attached all DTCs…

Just another reason never to update the software, unless directed to by a bulletin! It's also not very ethical if there's nothing wrong with the original software package… If you believe it's theft, then you should be able to see that issue in the modules that deal with theft. I don't see any theft codes in the list provided. Did you use PMI or As Built? Or, just reprogramming? Different…

So, what exact PATS function solved the issue? Was it theft all along?
