Tcm part numbers
5N1AR18B18C601770 Part number 31705-62x59
How do you get the file?when you put the number in nothing comes up. Could not talk to old Tcm.
Thank for any help
The TCM part number for programming that vehicle should start with 31020 if it's 2 wheel drive or 31000 if it's 4 wheel drive.
What do you mean when you say put the old number in?
I can’t pull a old number, the Tcm is dead. The part number of new part is not recognized on Nissan programming site.
Have you read the TSB's on blank modules and TCM's?
I did not see anything in tsb,s did you see something related?
I have run into into issues programming Nissan Tcm a few times. It seems like their website offers multiple program part numbers sometimes with no way if knowing which one to choose. I emailed … and they told me which number to correctly get. Teddy is correct Nissan TCMs start with 31020 or 31000. Hope this helps.
I agree with the 31000 number as I have seen in the past. The old Tcm was bad so I could not pull a number, not that would of worked any way. I don’t know. The part # I posted was on the box and the same as on the Nissan web site and not the first time I have seen this. That’s were the trouble comes in,the new parts numbers don’t work on the programming site. This is 4x4
Call the parts department at the dealer where you got the TCM and ask for the programming part number for that application. It's in the notes in their catalog under the TCM. Then use that number in the techinfo website.
Julio Thank you I called the dealer and got the Tcm programming number and that worked. Can’t believe other part guys could not come up with it. 31000- zs47A I have seen this scenario with so many parts I have lost count. My bad
Glad you got it resolved. Yes, some parts counter guys are just a little lazy and don't want to help. Definitely use use the USA estore website in the future...it helps in getting the programming part number if you aren't getting anywhere with the parts counter.
See the picture below. This is from nissan USA estore with the VIN you gave us. That should be the programming part number.
Julio is correct. See the picture below where you would purchase the File from on the Nissan Tech Info website.
Thank you It looks like around 2008 the part number and the Tcm part number are different numbers And the Tcm number you need to enter to get the file does not come with it,and the part person Could not come up with it
Hi John, Is this a 2wd or 4wd vehicle? The part number 31705-62X59 came off the box I assume? If so, this number is different than the ECU ID Number you would obtain from this Module using a scan tool. Let me know about 2wd or 4wd and I will look up the correct Calibration Number for you to download.
Nissan / Infiniti has a program called FAST that has most of the calibrations as part numbers. It may be what the dealers use. If you can get your hands on the program it makes life much easier when programming.
Just to add to this if you go to the official Nissan parts website (parts.nissanusa.com/nissanparts/?s…) and enter the VIN of the Nissan you are working on. Then navigate to powertrain, then to automatic transmission (you will need to select 4wd or 2wd depending on what you are working on). the part number of the automatic transmission is the Same as the programming file you will need to
