Ive been trying to do a better job of keeping everyone up to date but I forgot to post this last month.

FCA will integrate all J2534 app functions into the WiTech J2534 application.

If someone has a Cardaq Plus 2 and Secure Micropod will there be a way to run the J2534 legacy program? Or will they have to buy an updated Jbox?

I thought that all manufactures had to comply with emissions programing thru J2534. They are trying to close all windows and make all of us buy their tool! i wish all people stop buying their cars so they learn! Is like Tesla and their monopoly! It shouldn’t be aloud! Pretty soon all mechanics will be a salary slave of the international companies! Then the rest! Slowly they make autonomous cars

They do, the new WiTech does work with any J2534 device that can be validated as secured. Currently the Cardaq 3 Plus, and the other rebranded versions of this tool, and the Bosch MTS6531 have been personally used by myself with the WiTech J2534 software. Tesla doesnt need to comply with any EPA standards as it doesnt directly affect the eviornment.

The micropod can be used with the J2534 app, and all need pre-2009 J2534 functions be integrated into the one application(WiTech J2534).

Yeah, I was just curious if you needed a secured J-2534 to run the legacy part, or if older devices would still work. It wouldn't make sense that you would need a secured device for those older cars... but you never know with FCA. I didn't think the micropod would be capable with the older cars, maybe I am wrong there.

How can we get the Witech 1 features such as some of the older model coverage that is missing in Witech2.

Hi Keith Maybe you already answered this and I did not understand it as such, my apologies if so. Currently we have a witech subscription through the Okta website. Is there a way to access the older legacy J2534 functions from within the Okta/witech subcription or would we need to purchase the witech J2534 subscription as well?

So I read the registering j2534 device article , I followed the instructions and the serial number it uses to register looks like the windows OS product key. So are we registering the Pc and not the pass thru?

Hey Keith, have you heard if the wiTECH2.0 software (used with a Micropod 2) and wiTECH2.0 j2534 software are compatable on the same hard drive? I would assume they would be since they are web based, but I have not heard an answer about this yet.
