I just looked at the factory install procedure and they want you to make the paint marks on the strut mount and spring for reference, then reinstall with your marks.

I always paint a stripe from top to bottom on them before disassembly and one of the upper strut mount bolts.. If you didn't do that you should be able to line up the old wear marks from the spring cushions and strut mounts, etc..

Another workshop already had the vehicle and assembled everything wrong! in austria we have so many idiots, every day we have to correct mistakes made by other shops maybe someone have a photo

The manual is telling you to index the coil spring with both the lower - and upper - spring seats. If the spring is mispositioned, it may make noise or hit the body sheet metal when turning.
