Vividia ME-610 borescope

Steven Mechanic Spokane, Washington Posted   Latest   Edited

Just wanted to share a cool new tool that our shop got. We already had the Snap-on borescope with the dual view camera. This Vividia ME-610 is even better than that. The Snap-on scope that has a sidewards facing camera that you can switch to is helpful, but still not exactly what you want, and is difficult to get positioned. This Vividia works great for in cylinder inspection. I'll attach some pics and video.

(This is not an advertisement, I just think this borescope is cool)

Got myself a Vividia from Vison Expo. Used it within a week. That's a hole in a piston from a Hyundai...😁

Hi Steven: You're right. That is a cool product. I noticed that purchasing from their website is $300 less than purchasing from their ebay store for the model that you have. I also notice that there are 2 other units of that series which may be more appropriate for automotive use than what they offer on their ebay store. The ME-610C can handle some heat. The ME-610HT (High Temperature) may be

Sounded like you zipped up your pants there at the end! In all seriousness though, that is an incredible shot of the combustion chamber! Beats that goofy reflective mirror on the Snap-On version. I have the snappy, and have the accessory camera for my Autel. I find myself reaching for the Autel more frequently. It just has better focus imo, although is cumbersome to lug around and use.

Hi Tanner, I 'had' a lower level Oasis articulating borescope - oasisscientific.com/vividia-articu… It was a communal workshop tool and unfortunately one day I picked it up to find its extremely dark and grainy, I imagine one of the wires to the camera is damaged - THIS IS OUR FAULT NOT OASIS' - the guys weren't careful enough with it. This was likely brought on by the fact the

Hi Brandon, the new ones do have a redesigned head. i Haven’t had any issues with these ones doing that. The big thing is just trying to keep them clean. What I see happen once in a while is guys will pull them while They are articulated and then damage the articulating piece. You could also use something like electric terminal cleaner to spray the camera off after it’s been used some place
