17 VW tiguan All Keys Lost pin and cs?
Gotten myself into a situation. Car came in with one working key. Wanted 2 more matched to the car. I recently purchased the IM508. I found a video online, it showed that this was a paid service through autel. Great, scheduled the car.
First thing I did was go in and extract the pin number (was unaware that I needed more, the CS hex number). Followed the direction in the video. You are shown to use the all keys lost selection. I did, it told me it was going to cost me money and asked If I would like to continue. Sure. It said to wait. I did this several times, It would just hang there with the swirling circle. Next thing I know the original key doesn't function. GREAT!! You have to love these first time senerios.
So, not having the “CS” hexadecimal number, I can not program keys. the pin is just useless without it.
What are my options?
Will VW sell the numbers to someone with an LSID? You know RTR?
Is it possible to extract the numbers from the cluster via eeprom?
Will the dealer make and sell a key to my customer without the car there? Is it an order the key and wait?
Any easy way to get term. 15 power? windows are down and E-brake is on. 1 and 16 at the dlc shorted turns on warning lights but no power to anything.
So, Autel says that since I hadn't had my tool connected to the internet long enough, It hadn't done any updates. Therefore the software that use to work, was still in there (volkswagen pulled this deal with autel last September). If I had updated the tool, I should have never had the ability to do what I did. . The thing is, It never showed any updates available, when the guy from autel remoted in he said he didn't even think my subscription was active??? Shortly after he said that it popped up with 100 updates that it needed.
Don't get me wrong, This is all my fault, not trying to blame autel. It was my ignorance and lack of experience.
Hello bud I guess another day at the office. I believe you can use the original key information to generetate. The information and also with my tool I am able to retreat the information from the cs module. As well as reading the EPROMs. On the bench with the your adapter. Take your time. You know how it is. Patience. you will pull it through.
You should only need CS with aftermarket keys. The original has the CS built in . Leave key on undisturbed with charger for 60 min .Then try programming orig key only. Skip the make dealer key part.
I have Autel IM508 is good for for Asia cars adding key and all key lost through Obd but is not good for vw &bmw sometimes it will even cause problem the best tool is vvdi2 key programmer. It is expensive to solved, but you have a cheap one, Just buy dealer key and program with Odis or vvdi2 and you will be good Get someone who has the tools to help
By the way. Generating a key is different than programming a key. Follow your information on generating and then on progra I believe you are missing a step. Bud.
Could I talk you into calling me. Is there a way to retrieve that cs data from the original key? Could I have possibly overwritten the original key? I tried like you said, but it always wants the CS data. and yes I am confused about how the generation of regular/dealer and then the learning of them. VAG keys need to be pre coded. Pray hard and hope none of that informatio/data has been erased, changed or scrambled. Best thing to do is have customer order key from Volkswagen and call a locksmith that has ODIS. We do a lot of work like that for shops and locksmith guys out there so I do not recommend you to do it without knowing how to fix a problem if you create one. I truly hope you…
