Audi headlamp programming
Hello fellow techs. Vehicle is actually. 2022 q3. Got called out to program new headlamps and modules. Module programming went normal(headlamps work but not turn signals) Apparently these new headlamps are similar to Mercedes’ where you have to read the barcode and input the 8 digit code to initialize. There are two barcodes to read. One of them actually has the eight digit code the other doesn’t. When I scan it it does not give me the eight digit code(only a 12 digit code that is also on the barcode) Now reading the instructions it says to get the label from the packaging. The new power module programmed fine. The power module box has no labels and it programmed fine. I am assuming it is referring to a barcode that may have come in the new headlamp box(box is gone along with old headlamps). I also scanned the barcode on power module jic but nope. This headlamp only has one replaceable module(power module new). Is it in fact a barcode that was supplied with the new headlamps in the box cause I don’t know how else to get the eight digit code? Thanks gery
Shop had another 22 q3 and old headlamp has the same barcode w/o eight digit code…So not sure where to go from here.
See TSB : … (Matrix-design high beam calibration procedure)
Thanks Peter Landry. Looked on alldata and couldn’t find it. The high beams work, it’s the turn signals that don’t work. would I have to purchase a one day sub to get it or can you point me in the right direction. Thanks
Thanks Peter but that tsb is referencing high beam calibration and not bci code input procedure and how to get the eight digit code if it’s not available. Thanks again, gery
