Hello everyone! I have a 2016 Nissan Rogue that was involved in a crash and the ECM crashed, I bought a used one from a salvage yard exactly the same model, year, engine size now everything is fine I can register two smart keys, I can lock and unlock all the doors, instrumentation everything works only now I have a DTC in the ECM P161F - Immobilizer and one in the BCM B2192 - ID Discord BCM-ECM the car crank but not start., by the manual Nissan says that I have to replace the ECM (Blank ECM) and costs around $ 1300.00. Does anyone know where I could virginize, unlock the used ECM that I already have or some suggestion or if I really have to buy it new from Nissan, I appreciate all the help you can give me.

By looking at thee price it most be either Korean or Japanese made. and unfortunately you cant use a used ecm on those Nissan, has to be brand new. That ecm is OTP (One time programming).

I even send the vehicle to another workshop doubting my procedure and the same result. Searching alldata, there is a technical bulletin…

Too many factors to give you a direction at this point.. - need the Vin # - need the ECM part number.. Starts with 23710 ( not the numbers on outside of case ) . Read through a scan tool. Even though the ECM was replaced from the same vehicle the software installed in that ECM may not match your vehicle. There are several different options within a model. Not to mention Nissan uses 2…

The original Vin # the ECM part number is 23710-5HJ0C the Donor is 23710-5HJ0E .. Both these part numbers even though different when fully updated would match to 23710-5HJ4C, so the ECM's are compatible which is a good thing. Which means the keys should program. There is a two step process when programming these keys.. the intelligent key and then the remote gets programmed. When you are…

Client decided for now not to repair (buy new ECM module) around $ 1300.00 dls, since it is the only 100% safe option to be able to program the module, thank you all for your suggestions.
