ACdelcotds.com website and GDS2 subscription

I am trying to use my GM MDI interface to work on my personal vehicle. I paid the 57 dollars for the 3 day subscription and it downloaded techline connect. It then asks me for a portal ID which I presume to be the same as my acdelcotds​.​com login and password. I cannot get any further than this. I did watch the video provided on how to use the software but i cannot start the application without the needed login information. I did send an email to a provided email address of:

dac​.​na​.​english@gm​.​com

But I have not received a reply.

I believe you need to open the software from your acdelcotds account online and not from your desktop.

Did you set up new Techline connect account. You user and password will migrate over. Techline opens up in TDS

I did not setup a new account. I had used GM SI ( service information) using the same login a week ago, as I used today to attempt use the techline connect software with my GM MDI.

I just did this yesterday, and from the ACDelco TDS page I clicked on (Edit: Click on “View” first and then) “Add Vin” and it comes up with this screen. I clicked on Launch Techline Connect and was able to access the program.

Hello Danny, I am able to use the standalone mode only when I enter a VIN and it updated my MDI firmware.

Michael I had issues the very first time I attempted to use the software. I went through the same issues. I also emailed them and waited for a response. I had another friend that went through the same issue. The software started working correctly the next day. I did get a response to the email but after the software was working correctly. I suspect it is a security measure and the accounts needs…

Yes sir! After closing the program out and launching from the Delco website it installed the additional programs and worked for me. Thanks for that tip

Hi Mike. What message is being displayed preventing your access? I do run TLC directly from the desktop icon. However, it is necessary to use the “Run as Administrator” option from the icon. Otherwise, the red “Access Denied” or similar message appears, forcing use the Standalone option, which is needed for road tests anyway. Hi Martin, I forget the error I saw but I rebooted the pc and logged into the acdelcotds​.​com website and ran the gds2 software in stand alone mode fine. But the damn website charged me TWICE and I emailed tech support but the fine print stated they do not give refunds on short term access even when it is there website problem.
