No Communication With Rear Side Detection Modules

Good morning, I diagnosed the issue being the drivers side module at rear bumper has several pins corroded off and stayed inside the connector on the harness side. No communication with either module because of the pins corroded off. When I called the dealer about getting the module they said there are 2 different part numbers depending on the tag number. Problem is I can't find any tag numbers anywhere. Any ideas where I might find that info? Do I need to remove the rear bumper to see if the tag is on the harness where it crosses to the other side? Also if I can get the correct part what is involved with programming it? I have never replaced one before. I do have the capability to program with J-box and laptop with TDS account. Also have Autel MS909. If I'm better off shipping it to the dealer I'm open to that idea as well.

Hi lee, I had same issue with exact same year make and model. So the tag number is wrapped around harness and you have to take compete bumper off changing harness is easy it comes with plugs for rear park assist sensors , I programmed mine with autel jbox went smooth of course that was when it was sps not the new sps 2 That car is global A so of course everything has to be new to work HTH

You need to remove the rear bumper regardless if changing harness. It does indeed come with the rear parking sensor connections and the assorted retainers to properly hold it in place. The bumpers are easy to remove.

Thanks to all that replied. I replaced the harness and the drivers sensor, programmed it successfully and then discovered the passenger sensor is also bad. Lesson learned is to replace both at the same time.
