Rear view camera inoperative
This is Joel, looking for help on this 2014 Mitsubishi, out lander, customer concern is camera inoperative the radio portion or the rest of the display is working correctly, I checked the can high and low at connector 110 pin 13 and 23, ground lead from the scope connected to chassis ground, when the captures were taken the key was on engine off, because of the noise in the signal when engine was running I thought could be some back feed but did not change the signal at all.
I am not an expert on communication lines diagnostic but I think the signal is there just not sure if the noise is normal or not,
Second test I did was, place the vehicle in reverse and check all the 4 wires at the camera di not get any response at all on any wire move my scope to the multi vision display unit same 4 wires got nothing no activity on any wire, the problem is I have never seen before what type of signal is normal this is first time I am playing with this system , I do not know if will be digital square signal , a c or analog. I will appreciate your inputs and also if anybody knows about a good training related to this system I need it,
If anybody has some scope capture that will share with me for camera control signal will be awesome.
A couple quick thoughts based on what you have shared and a quick glance. The DTC screen you show indicates you have retrieved codes from modules on the same CAN architecture as the Display Unit. That would indicate the bus is communicating but the Display unit is being flagged by other modules for not responding in time. The Camera does not appear to be a CAN circuit. It appears to have power
thank you sir for the information will do more testing
