Autel TS608 (TPMS), upgrade or not
To upgrade or not is my question. I have had this activated for about a year now and we’re coming up on the eve of subscribing again which will give me updates for another year and extend the warranty. For $250 which is basically half the cost of the tool I’m not sure that I’d see the worthwhile in continuing the subscription. This was at the time more of a impulse buy. I’ve used my ads625 with otc tpms tool and the otc paired with the Zeus as well more over the last year compared to the autel.
What I didn’t realize when I bought the autel tpms / scan tool was that it could only be used for programming autel sensors. Has anyone seen, found this or know of any workarounds that allow the autel to program non autel sensors as there’s always tweaks happening but I haven’t really dug for any as with the zeus and ads625 he information has been more than sufficient.
The handful Of times that I did use the scan tool I had mixed reviews as compared to my other scan tools I would get on readings that the others seemed to have not been getting. This is another reason that I have chosen not to update it. I also will have the Bosch update coming in March and dollar for dollar I feel it would make be more beneficial putting the money towards that update.
The Zeus update has another year and a half before that comes for renewal.
I'm a little confused. We have a TS508. We do OE sensors everyday. I've never had an Autel sensor that worked personally!! I have done OE GM, Ford,Chrysler,Hyundai/Kia,Toyota ,Nissan, Honda, sensors with out TS508 an never had a problem.
It can only program Autel brand blank sensors. It can activate/test most brands of preprogrammed sensors.
Dale, You may want to look at the Bartec tool. They are now making their own sensors. To get more exposure on the sensors, they are selling the tool and a handful of sensors through distribution. The shop price for kit is far less than the tool alone. The new tool software will program and relearn the new sensor with tire up to pressure, all at the same time. This means that the sensor can be…
