No Start After Programming
So after talking with a few people on here, I decided I would venture into Jaguar programming. I got a old laptop and setup windows 7, 32 bit. The Jaguar software installed no problems. Tuesday I went out to program a Jaguar that had the TCM replaced. Did my normal routine. Used my stable battery supply. Used my snap on 3 J2534 box, which is a drew tech 2 j-box. Did my best to read any service information on programming Jaguars but nothing is out their that I could seem to find, except it is much like Ford IDS. Programmed the TCM and every seemed to go well, but then the vehicle would crank/ not start. Had a code for P1637 and no com with ABS module. I stopped there. Normally I would of maybe tried it again as I do not like shutting off keys to vehicles when something like this happens unless Instructed other wise, but it was late at night. Kinda looking for some guidance before I pay for another subscription and try the flash again. This is the first time I made the mistake of not checking to see what modules I could communicate and seeing if the vehicle starts and runs. The shop said they drove vehicle in. I'm sure I made a noob mistake since I'm now here asking for help.
Hi, What kind of Jaguar is it and what MY is it? Under service functions try running ‘vehicle reset‘ routine. If there is still comm with the ABS module (green tick on session overview) and all other modules are reporting U codes with missing messages the vehicle reset will likely solve it. If it doesn’t post a DTC overview and a screenshot of the session overview screen.
Hi, Do you have communication with the TCM now? P1637 is usually caused by a TCM eeprom error. If you can communicate with Transmission module, I would try reprogramming again. If not try a Master reset, if still no comm may need to replace TCM module. Good luck
I f it is like IDS you may need two keys to get engine started and/or a parameter reset. I have not done Jags yet but your experience should be educational. Good Luck!

I'm going back today to reset and maybe reprogram again. So i'll update tomorrow.
UPDATE: Unfortunately I did not get anywhere positive with this vehicle. I did the hard reset by touching negative and positive battery terminals together. I then reprogrammed TCM. I after that reprogrammed ECM. Still I have a crank/no start. I CAN communicate with the ECM, TCM & ABS control module. In the ABS I have a U2202- Invalid configuration data received. ECM I have P1582-Throttle…
On the session screen is a hashtAg (#) icon. Can you post the output of that in here? Or even better esport the session and upload the session file.

Try a harder reset. Disconnect the battery for at least twenty minutes. No need to touch together. Then access and clear any codes and go from there.
