VAG Com

I think I am pretty convinced that VAG Com is the next best alternative to Audi ODIS. Is anyone willing to part with a good used interface for this program ?? I can then put in a subscription/download for the service.

Why not just buy a new one from Ross-Tech? It won't break the bank, I promise.

$599 with Hex Net pro seems to be the most affordable option on the professional end but I am not seeing a hardwire option on the website which should be far more affordable !!

The hex-net can also be used with a usb cable. $599 is very cheap for what it can do

VAG COM works so well that VWOA is there best customer, the roving troubleshooters use it instead of ODIS. A Used interface will not talk to the latest cars. A new Hex Net interface is only $599 and the software is free. LMK if I can send you one, we have been a distributer since 2006!

Come on Martin it's $599 from the manufacturer…. I don't think you can find a scan tool anywhere that has more bang for the buck. Ross-Tech.com

Martin, I have a VCDS Hex + CAN interface that I don't need since retirement. I got it from it from Ross Tech a few years back. It's been a lifesaver at times. I just don't need it any longer. $275.00 plus shipping. Let me know.

Good day team and thanks for the endorsements. We don't see as many Audi units but the potential is there and hardly ever a VW but clearly, this program will do better than what we are using. Doug I can be reached at … for further details and shipping.

VCDS is the best the software is free and updates so far have always been free. That's BIG! The interface is the money. Douglas Reed's offer is a good one as long as it's unlimited Vin's. You register it with Ross Tech download software and you should be good to go. Good Luck

I either use ODIS or Vag-Com on VW/Audi. But I have to level with you, on newer VW/Audi…I'm using ODIS far, far more; out of necessity. Vag-Com is GREAT!!! When it is great; if that makes sense. I'm finding on newer vehicles that codes are retrieved, with no definitions, or data PIDs are reporting with no labels to even know what they are. That's not even bringing up Guided Fault Finding…

As money goes it's cheap to buy a new genuine VAG Com For me the programming side means I won't use ODIS or VAG Com as need to program keys etc on the spot. But if your after diagnostics on older cars the just pay for VAG Com Make sure to charge customer and payback comes in a week or so If on latest cars and/or programming parts etc then ODIS. I'm not adding anything Matt above said as really…
