Fluke Repair

Rudy Technician Utah Posted   Latest

I dropped my Fluke 233 and now the display only shows dash lines. I tried removing the batteries, checking the fuse, eyeballing the board for and cracks, but I cant find anything wrong. I guess Ill have to send it in.

Where do you guys send them? Back to Fluke or to an independent repair center?

Hi Rudy I had a problem with my badly abused but favorite fluke 177 with the display. I sent it to them and was really impressed with the speed and how inexpensive it was for my repair. I'm in Ontario Canada so hopefully there'll be someplace close to you but I wouldn't hesitate to have Fluke repair my meters again. They also calibrated it for me with the leads I use.. just a very good service…

Some years back I had a problem on my fluke 88 so I contacted them about repair. I think their policy is a flat fee repair. At the time it was like $160. I sent it off and 2 week later got a box back with a letter saying mine was too old and unable to be repaired. Underneath was a brand new in the box fluke 88 with some extras. Customer for life.

Rudy, I had issues with mine recently I emailed and called and got the run around. Got some ridiculous quotes to fix it. I had my Snap-on guy call on my behalf and mailed it to them through him and it was finally resolved to my satisfaction.

I did and all you are paying for is an estimate fee just to get you to a 3rd party. Might as well just sending it to Fluke.

A couple responses said they didn't get good service directly from Fluke so I was just providing another option.

Send it to Fluke Rudy. It will be repaired properly, calibrated, certified and returned with a quick turnaround. FWIW, Fluke service and warranty can make the others look like relative cowboys. I've known techs hand their DMMs to the tool truck guys, never to be seen again, or to take several months to be returned. I once sent a Sanwa analog meter (in the ‘70s) out on the tool truck to be…

I’ve never dealt with Sanwa directly, always through a sub company? I guess you could call it. Great products and great service. Unfortunately they don’t have service center or reseller in the states any more!
