2.8 Duramax Buy Back
Attached is a Google Power Point Case Study.
This GMC has since been back to the dealership for 2 oil changes and has had no issues since the repair. You will see in the study that the DEF Pump module was not holding the pump at required pressure. After module replacement it held desired module pressure with no issue. I'm still new to documenting the case studies, any pointers are welcome!
Andrew I like the google docs. Good job on the case study!
Thanks, its a work in progress. I love having this forum to share this stuff with. Seems easiest for me to put my notes and thoughts down. I will have another one by next week. I am working on the fix right now.
Nice diagnosis and case study!! I have had a similar issue with a Ford, wouldn't build commanded pressure and hold it. Also was the DEF module.
Thank you! I am trying to make them tell the story. I have never been a "techy" guy until recently. I have been burned on this 3 times now. This one I actually stored all the data to share. DEF problems can be a nightmare. I plan on doing some 6.6 stuff soon. It's harvest time, a lot of the trucks won't come in now until either the crops are completely down or the truck is in reduced power to 4mph
