Shop Software
Good Afternoon DN. The shop is considering changing management software we are currently using Mitchell and Autovitals for dvi. The expense of both has become quite high. I wanted some insight on the cloud based system that also utilizes dvi in the software. Wanted to see what other shops are using and how they like the cloud based system that most companies are going to now.
thanks in advance
Shop-Ware. Not sure of the cost but it has DVI in the software and cloud based. Quality product with support and responds to customer feedback.
Hey, I recommend shop-ware. Great company and adding features all the time. Craig
Absolutely agree with previous 2 posters. Shop-Ware is the way to go. If you'd like a quick demo from a shop that is currently using it, let me know. I'd be more than happy to offer you a Zoom meeting.
Hi Steve can you send me a link to there web site ? I google it and it’s not coming up maybe because I am in Canada
Fyi, Shop-Ware is one of our supporting corporate partners here as well. Check out the “Partners” dropdown at the top of the page.
Thank you. I will message you to take that offer. When you speak to the sales person they promise you the world.
Take a look at Shop 4D. It does all you ask and so much more. Great backend and they actually make changes when users come up with better ideas.
We had what you had and dump it 2 years ago and never look back specaily Autovital , they also make me no vital. Try tekmetric with autotext me no contract to sux you in. YOU GOT TO DUMP AV!!!
We use RO Writer with Bolt-On integration for DVI and texting. When I was shopping all these companies have pain points and different level of software maturity. You will just have to compare prices and features. Most offer a demo that you can request on their website. Best. Check out: rowriter.com and boltontechnolgy.com
I have found that reading thru the last couple years of release notes will give you some good insight into if and when some of the common features you use daily in your current software, were implemented (or not) into the software you might be considering. It is also a great way to develop and organize your list of questions for a new provider. This is another case where TLDR will not serve…
Hi Randall, I reached out to my contact at Shop-Ware about the link you provided. She informed me that they recently moved their release notes to a new area which can be found here: support.shop-ware.com/s/product-upda… Thanks for sharing what you found.
I highly recommend trying winworks auto shop they even have digital inspection capability integration with QuickBooks and supplier software as well plus a very good marketing module plus the big one you can own the software or you can go cloud-based and pay per month hope that helps plus they do give a 30-day free trial good luck
Digital Vehicle Inspection. Allows for adding images and videos to the work order. Could not imagine doing inspections and test result findings without this feature.
I looked it up after I asked. That seems like an outstanding feature. I'm glad companies are taking advantage of the future for sure
If you want everything then look at SHOP4D. We switched this summer, has the DVI built in and the the techs use it to build the labor estimate on the repair order. Has mitchel and motors labor guide built in and Motor's manuals built into for diagnostics, repairs and specs. Lots of easy point and click for maintenance guides and previous recommends to build estimate quickly. They do weekly…
It’s you get Shop4D you will never look back. Such great estimating, DVI, built in payment system, great sync with Quick books and reporting that is awesome!
